Expo center contractor wants to redevelop Jones Park – News Talk 1150 WHBY

The contractor for the expo center in downtown Appleton wants to help redevelop Jones Park next door.

Miron Construction vice president Tim Kippenhan says they’re donating their construction management fee to the city. It’s estimated to be worth $60,000 to $75,000.

The city is planning to re-do the park this year.

Kippenhan says the company got to know the park while working on the expo center. He says unfortunately they tore it up during construction and they want to help put it back together.

Kippenhan says the donation is also in honor of the company’s 100th anniversary.

The expo center’s grand opening is tomorrow afternoon.
